THAILAND - ProPak Asia 2007, a show that brings all machineries and technologies for processing and packaging from all over the world together, is happening from 13-16 June 2007 at BITEC Bangna Bangkok, Thailand.


A major industrial machinery exhibition, Propak Asia will have more than

680 companies from over 30 nations over the world demonstrating their new processing, packaging machines and technologies for industries such as, cosmetics, cannery, freezer, breweries, beverages, plastics.

Propak Asia 2007, is the 15th event of its series which promises to complete the circle for processing and packaging industries, bringing producers, manufacturers, and users together to exchange their technologies and for the product hands-on experience.

With more than 2,000 machines exhibits from all over the world in a total exhibition space of 20,000 square metres. Propak Asia is expected to help generate more than US$214 million in sales, a 20% increase from 2006’s exhibition.

One of the conferences that will take place during the exhibition is ‘Food Innovation Asia 2007’. Organised by the Food Science and Technology Association of Thailand (FoSTAT), the conference will help educate and develop food technologies in Asia.

Some of the seminars happening during Propak Asia 2007 include a PlasTech senimar titled ‘The competitive advantage of plastic packaging – an Asian perspective’, a talk on the European Union food label legislation, and product and technical presentations by foreign companies such as Silgan White Cap South East Asia, and Toyo Seikan Kaisha Ltd.

With more than 90% of the machines exhibited are from overseas, PROPAK ASIA 2007 has been considered to be the most “International” exhibition. Several of the larger international companies exhibiting at Propak Asia 2007 will be showcasing equipment and packaging new to Thailand. Some of them include Siemens’ advanced packaging automation; Bosch Sigpack’s new wafer packaging called Pullpack; and an innovative paper padding for packaging from Europac.

ProPak Asia 2007 is organized by Bangkok Exhibition Services Ltd. (BES).
