“We’ve had some really good interest form around the Asian region, not just Thailand” said Robin Holding, of Thai based Food Service Global, representing UK company, AMP Rose “Unlike some exhibitions, Pro Pak hasn’t had the general public wandering in picking up brochures, these have been serious enquiries from Malaysia, Singapore, VietNam and even India, good quality interest” AS a manufacturer of cut and wrap, from fill and seal machines mainly for the confectionary and biscuit sectors, the main attraction has been focussed on sachet machines from existing customers “Most of the visitors we have hade are either existing customers or those we have been in contact with before and specifically invited to come and see the machine on display – and largely they have come. “Which is quite unusual, with so many exhibitions around, people often don’t bother unless they are genuinely interested – and that’s good news for us”. AMP Rose attended Pro Pak and while there were a lot of enquiries it wasn’t as successful as Thailand “In the region we understand that VietNam is about 10 years behind Thailand in terms of its packaging industry – that doesn’t mean that it will take 10 years to catch up, VietNam is developing very fast, and as a company we have to establish a presence as early as possible, you have to get your name up if you want to sell to Asian customers. “We didn’t actually sell a machine at the show – but then we are not that type of company, and we didn’t really expect to” | |
