JAPAN – Shiseido Co Ltd is launching a new fragrance in a unique Tokyo Sky Tree building-inspired slim glass bottle.
Shiseido has announced that it will release its original fragrance SHISEIDO SKY TREE® EAU DE PARFUM in collaboration with Tobu Tower Sky Tree Co Ltd to mark the completion of TOKYO SKY TREE, the world’s tallest free-standing tower and tourist attraction, on 22 May 2012.
According to the Japanese cosmetic giant, the concept of SHISEIDO SKY TREE® EAU DE PARFUM is to integrate the two contrasting elements of “nostalgia and modern” based on the theme of “Revering the past to create the future.”
The fragrance is based on a floral green aroma, finishing with an elegant and Japanese modern aroma. It is a well-balanced harmonious blend that evokes a nostalgic, calm feeling while providing a refreshing and uplifting feeling that conjures hopes and wishes for the future.
For the design of the outer fragrance box, the sky and TOKYO SKY TREE were used as motifs.
The fragrance bottle itself was designed to resemble a tree, evoking memories of visiting TOKYO SKY TREE each time a person sees the product. The bottle has a lovely slim and slightly angled silhouette that reflects the shape of the building itself, reaching upwards to end in a slightly rounded top, with a tall and slim metallic cap.
The product will be sold at TOBU Department Store’s Tokyo Solamachi Store, which is slated to open on the same day as the celebration to mark the completion of TOKYO SKY TREE.
