THAILAND -
A Thai printer has bought 2 Mitsubishi sheet-fed offset printing presses for US$3 million.

Among one of the many deals concluded at Pack Print International

2007, held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 26 – 29 April, a large sale worth US$3 million was made by Mitsubishi for 2 sheet-fed offset printing press.

Bought by CPI Interprint, the 2 presses were an eight-color Diamond 3000TP (Tandem Perfector) and a four-color Diamond 3000LS-4. Both presses will be delivered to the Thai printer’s new plant at the Sinsakhon Printing City.

The Diamond 3000TP prints on both sides with no need to reverse the sheet. This means that there is no need for extra trailing edge gripper margins, subjecting the sheet to less stress and creasing, and reducing scrap and production cost. With a speed output of 13,000 sheets/hour, the press is capable of printing on both thick and thin sheets ranging from 0.04mm to 0.6mm for the standard paper press.

CPI Interprint is the first customer in Thailand to take delivery of the D-3000TP. Since the press debuted in 2002, Mitsubishi has sold over 100 units globally.
