India - Precision Labelling Systems has been asked by its representatives in Holland, Altrimex Packaging Equipment BV, to supply two PHL labelling systems to Amway Corporation's subsidiaries in India, Naisa in Deman and Sarjothen Care in Hydrabad. This follows an earlier supply of PHL and RTL Labelling Systems to Amway in Holland. Required to handle Amway's wide range of household detergent, cleaning and toiletry products at a throughput rate of 70 containers per minute, each PHL system comprises a robust and fully adjustable stainless steel frame carrying a 4m x 150mm slat band conveyor. This is fitted with variable speed metering, digital alignment and wraparound facilities with adjustable guides and sensors, together with an adjustable height overhead stabilising belt synchronised with the conveyor speed. Twin wide chassis label applicators with stepper motor drives, and height and tilt adjustment for straight and tapered containers are fitted to each PHL system, together with hot foil coders, static eliminators and label sensors. User-friendly electro/pneumatic controls, stepper motor drives and single point multi-adjustments make the systems readily manageable with a minimum of maintenance, claims the company. PLS engineers completed installation and commissioning of the two systems in India. |
