CHINA – To address growing concerns, a special symposium on China’s Excessive Packaging Law that will educate the packaging industry on the pertinent environmental legislative compliance issues will be held early next year in the Mainland, hosted by leading luxury packaging exhibition Luxe Pack Shanghai.
Since its first show in 2007, the Luxe Pack Shanghai exhibition has established itself in the Asian luxury packaging market as the source location for the latest product and technology developments. The upcoming edition in the spring of 2011 is no exception.
Luxe Pack Shanghai, to be held on 29-30 March 2011 at the Shanghai International Convention Centre, is organising in collaboration with EP Resources Pte Ltd - publisher of the online daily news service focused on the Asian Packaging Supply Chain - a unique half-day symposium that discusses China’s Excessive Packaging Law.
Currently the only country in the world with legislation that bans excessive packaging, China’s environmental legislative agenda will affect all brand owners, material and equipment suppliers, and converters doing business, or planning to do business in the largest global packaging market.
To be held concurrently during the exhibition, the comprehensive symposium programme includes presentations from a key government agency that will educate delegates on the compliance issues they need to address, as well as discussion sessions led by global brand owners on how the packaging sector can cut excessive packaging.
The exhibition will also feature a special showcase of the latest products and innovative solutions at the Luxe Pack Innovation Forum area for purchasers of luxury packaging to enjoy.
To date, 70% of the booth space at Luxe Pack Shanghai has already been rebooked.
In addition, the exhibition will welcome new international exhibitors such as Fusion Packaging (USA), a global leader in the design, manufacturing and distribution of packaging for skin care and cosmetic markets; Fibermark (USA), a provider of advanced fiber technology, Korsnäs (Sweden), a corporation with more than 150 years’ history in the production of premium cartonboard and sack and kraft paper; Iggesund (Sweden), producer of premium papers devoted to luxury brands only; and Tai Xing Paper Bag Co., Ltd, the wholly-owned Chinese company of Tokyo Art, a high quality paper bag supplier serving numerous international brands (Anna Sui, Calvin Klein, Lancôme, Lacoste, TASAKI, GODIVA). Other new exhibitors include Best Continental (China), GLD (China), Seram (France), Cimen Inc. (Taiwan).
