5th European Bioplastics Conference

cornfield
GERMANY - More than 25 expert-speakers from all over the world await you at the 5th European Bioplastics Conference. The event will take place on 1/2 December 2010 at the Hilton Hotel in Dusseldorf. Adjoint to the conference, exhibitors from all sectors of the bioplastics industry will showcase their portofolio.

Preparations for the 5th European Bioplastics Conference are entering the “hot phase”. With the programme of the conference nearly finished and the number of exhibitors still growing, it is time to share a “sneak-peek” on what participants can expect during these two days focussed on bioplastics.

The industry?s leading business event will feature presentations with topics on technological innovation, newest products, evaluations of bioplastic consumer goods and the status on the discussion on recovery and recycling systems.

Some of the highlights: Dr. Harald Hager of Evonik will talk about “Polyamides from Renewable Resources – Past, Present, Future”. Bioplastics and consumer goods is the topic tackled by Oliver Schmid of Propper – one of the pioneering companies producing consumer goods of longlife bio-based plastics via injection molding. Fredric Petit of DSM will give some insights into “The next generation; DSM's durable bio-performance materials“.

What is more, participants also are actively joining the ranks of exhibitors of the highly specialised exhibition adjoint to the conference. So far, the following exhibitors are confirmed: PolyOne, Mirel Bioplastics by Telles, Purac, Novamont, Sukano, DIN Certco, Kaneka, FKuR, Huhtamaki, Fachagentur Nachwachsender Rohstoffe, A.P.I. SpA, Taghleef Industries, BASF, Kingfa, NatureWorks, Vincotte and BKG. Due to space limitations, there are only a few more places to book – companies interested in showcasing their products should move fast.

European Bioplastics is the European association representing the interests of the industry along the complete bioplastics' value chain. Its members produce, refine and distribute bioplastics i.e. plastics that are either biobased, compostable, or both. The 5th European Bioplastics Conference, the leading business event in the expanding market of bioplastics, will present the latest technological and market developments. Visitors can expect excellent networking opportunities and a product exhibition of the latest innovations.
