PTi expands Asian presence with appointment of Korean agent

pti extrusion
S KOREA –
Sheet extrusion machinery manufacturer Processing Technologies International (PTi) has appointed JK Innotion Co, Kyunggi-do, Korea, as its exclusive manufacturers’ representative in South Korea.

JK Innotion will serve as a sales agent for PTi’s broad range of monolayer and coextrusion barrier sheet line systems for the packaging industry.

With PTi machinery in 24 countries, the appointment is a key part of the company’s aggressive global growth strategy and expands its presence in the Asian market, according to JR Duff, director of business development for PTi.

“We’re excited about joining forces with one of the region’s leading machine sales representatives to help position us for future growth,” said Duff. “JK Innotion brings many years of valuable experience in the Korean market.”

JK Innotion, led by owner and founder KC Kim, represents U.S. and European manufacturers and sells machinery and support equipment to Korean packaging companies. The company will sell PTi’s full complement of sheet extrusion machinery and provide a full range of support including technical service.

“We welcome this new sales arrangement, which expands our portfolio options for customers,” said KC Kim, president of JK Innotion Co. “Our strategy to align our business with global industry leaders is further solidified by this agreement with PTi.”

As part of its growth strategy, PTi is also exploring other partnerships in the Far East, according to Duff. “We have an ambitious program underway to expand globally and introduce our innovative technologies to new customers,” explained Duff. By early spring, the company expects to finalize other agreements which would give PTi representation in other key Asian regions.
