One of them is the Varin Model 41, an automatic closing machine which can be used as either a straight-line (MSLF) cannery model for round cans containing liquid or semi-liquid products, or with a disc feed for can manufacturing or packing solid products at speeds of up to 250 cans/min.
The second machine which Varin has sold at Propak Asia is the Varin 400, another automatic closing machine designed for closing can sizes from No.200 to No.404 at a speed of 120cans/min. Describing it as a “rugged, low cost machine”, Udakam explained that the cans are received on a slowly revolving indexing disc and delivered into the machine where they are carried to any one of the four rotating seaming heads that are mounted in a revolving turret. Although the Varin 08 is used primarily for closing No.603 can sizes at a speed of 25/min, it can also handle cans from No.307 to No.700 with great efficiency and minimal spillage. This machine, sold during Propak Asia, has a single rotating seaming head, and is versatile with accessories available for can making and steam vacuum. Involved in the manufacture and supply of new and rebuilt processing, canning, and can-making equipment and spare parts from its two factories in Thailand, as well as USA, France, Germany, UK, Japan and Australia, Varin provides 24-hour after-service to its clients. With its head office in Bangkok, 60% of the 28 year old equipment supplier’s companies are Thai companies. The others are from the rest of Asia and it also has about 20 European and South African customers. |
