Krones is exhibiting its latest labelling and inspection technology, which include a new high-performance applicator for pressure-sensitive labelling and a label inspector, at Propak Asia 2007, held in BITEC, Bangkok, Thailand, from 13 – 16 June. APS 3This high-performance applicator for pressure-sensitive labelling combines speed and precise label positioning with user-friendly operator control and easy changeovers. With this fresh design enhancement, there is now also an option for automatic splicing of the label reels fed in, so output is no longer lost at reel changes. Sleevematic InlineContainers dressed in sleeve labels underline the upmarket connotations of the products involved and offer innumerable options for whole-area creative design. Krones’s Sleevematic Inline is an affordable machine which can apply specialised sleeve dress in all speed ranges. It also offers exceptionally short change-over times when switching to different containers or sleeves. Checkmat E – label inspectorThe Checkmat label inspector utilises a CCD camera to monitor the labels on the containers and reliably detects even the tiniest of irregularities. The CCD camera system provides the client with a multitude of options for image processing and code recognition. The labels are recognised using a wide-area sample comparison routine, and monitored for position, configuration and quality. The error tolerance is user-settable. The camera system’s image evaluation unit is linked to the Checkmat’s base unit via TCP/IP. For customers who only need to check for label presence, inspection can also be performed using photo-electric sensors. |
